Born on 01.05.1978 in Karamürsel. Graduated from İzmit Imam-Hatip High School (1995) and MÜ Faculty of Theology (2000). He completed his master’s degree (2002) and doctorate (2009) in the Department of Islamic Law at MÜ Institute of Social Sciences. He worked as a teacher of Religious Culture and Ethics (2004-2011) and as a faculty member at the Faculty of Theology (2011-2013). He worked as a faculty member at Istanbul Şehir University Faculty of Islamic Sciences, where he was among the founding staff (2013-2020).
His academic fields of study are Islamic Political Thought and Islamic Modernism. He is the editor of Classical Publications Islamic Civilization Studies (IMA), Siyaseti Yeniden Düşünmek Series.
